Short Stories for Short Days, a short story discussion group, will meet on Tuesdays from 3 - 4 p.m. throughout the month of October. Beginning October 6th, the group will meet in the Conference Room on the Mezzanine. The discussion leader will be Darien resident Carroll Stenson, who had conducted several short story groups at the Library and has established several other similar and popular programs in the community. Classic short stories and some stories by contemporary authors will be discussed -- focusing on content and themes, on characters and how they relate to our own experiences.

Copies of the short stories to be discussed will be available at the Welcome Desk during the week prior to each session.

The short story to be discussed on Tuesday, October 13th will be The Gilded Six Bits by Zora Neale Hurston.

Refreshments will be served.
