Our monthly Stories on the Spectrum series, a sensory-based storytime for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders who are between the ages of 3
and 8, will meet for the final time this season on Saturday, April 10th.
To celebrate a great season of programs and to help support National Autism Awareness Month, we will be inviting a special guest reader join our storytime.
The program theme will be "Thing That Go: Trains, Planes, Trucks and More!"
Children with autism or other sensory-integration disorders, and their families, are invited to join us on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00am in the Children's Library for some songs, a story, and a fun sensory activity.
For more information on Austism Spectrum Disorders and ways that you can help support and participate in National Autism Awareness Month, visit the Autism Society of America and autismspeaks.org.
Stay tuned for other sensory-rich programs that we will be offering throughout the summer months! (Stories on the Spectrum will continue again in Fall 2010)
