So the groundhog saw its shadow today. Oh well! Whether that means six more weeks of winter or not, we're not waiting for a furry, little woodchuck to predict when our spring arrives. We've decided on our own to introduce the season a bit early. We think that you'll agree there is no better time than now to get our minds focused on all things fresh and brand new... and not on a century-old ritual involving a rodent. So let's get started:

Friday Film Series
Beginning Friday, February 5 at 7:30 PM
Our Friday Film Series is back in a really big way. And just in time for the Oscar race, for which nominations were announced this morning, we've got the most buzzed-about movies of the season. Also, remember that our Wednesday Matinee Film Series returns this month with a classic love story, a classic chef, an unlikely friendship, and a devil in designer disguise.  

Catherine Lindsey Memorial Playwrights/Actors Workshop Series
Beginning Thursday, February 11 at 7 PM
The workshop series brings together local and regional playwrights and actors (Equity and Non-Equity), and encourages a collaborative effort to create new plays and present a public-staged reading of short scenes from full-length plays, one-act plays, musicals, and monologues. One Page Poetry Circle
Wednesday, February 17 at 7 PM
Bring a single page of poetry by an established poet. Everyone has an opportunity to read and share their choices with the group, and then we'll have some lively discussions about them. Click here for our additional dates and themes this spring. Film Screening of I.O.U.S.A.

Yes, I'm referring to Anna Wintour, Vogue editor and the so-called "devil" in The Devil Wears Prada.
