Part 2: Heather!

Heather started working at Darien Library around the same time as Alex--last winter. Heather does an AMAZING amount of stuff for the teen program. She orders all of our books AND handles all of our publicity, including updating our Facebook page. You will know who Heather is if you are ever in the Teen Lounge on the weekend, because she runs not only the monthly podcast, but also the Saturday afternoon movies and fun stuff like scavenger hunts, crafts, and trivia contests. And Heather is also in charge of the Oral History Project, which you should totally volunteer for!

Heather loves putting up movies that teens make on the website, so if you ever want to borrow one of our teen-only Flip Cameras, ask Heather and she'll make sure your video gets online. And I can't write about Heather without mentioning that she is totally responsible for our fabulous graphic novel and manga collection. If you ever want a graphic novel that we don't have, Heather's got you covered.

heather

super nice... don't forget that.

agreed!

heather is the nicest person i know!

heather

also an awesome librarian but doesnt look like anyone famous.. the teencast is awesome and fun to do. but one question????? wats wrong with halo!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!!??!!?!?!?!??!?!!?

nothing

Nothing is wrong with Halo. The thing that is "wrong" is the disruption it causes to neighboring areas by the lounge. If Halo is being played, we and other patrons can tell... That's not necessarily a good thing... ;)

actually

the reason isn't because of the areas outside teen lounge, it's because we just want everyone to feel comfortable IN the teen lounge. sorry jack. did you have fun playing it on wednesday? actually i know the answer to that, which is YES.

I thought this was the reason...

Here's a link to what someone said on their blog about kids playing Halo in the teen lounge. http://bit.ly/9cleiq I thought that made a lot more sense.

oh andrew!

you little devil.
