6:30 in the evening

On Monday morning, as the rain and weather raged outside, several members of the Darien Library Spring Gala committee gathered here to plan. Kerrie Kelley and Tatum Fitchthorn are the chairwomen for the upcoming Spring Gala, The Bookmark: A Night of Calypso Music Cocktails, Hors D'oeuvres, Silent Art Auction, and Live Auction. With 33 volunteers joining them in this effort, the Library's second annual Spring Gala is well underway and in capable and caring hands.

The Bookmark is a fundraising event to support the Library. Funds that are raised will be used for Library materials (all books, movies, computers, magazines, books on cd, information resources, and programs are paid for by private donations). Planning, preparing, and producing this event is an enormous undertaking and we appreciate the extraordinary commitment of these volunteers in helping Darien Library continue to provide services and materials to the Darien Library community.

Kerrie and Tatum have assembled an incredibly  talented and enthusiastic group! They are Jen Bannerton, Allison Boeckmann, Sue Bradbury, Catherine Callagy, Missey Dweck, Ellie Edwards, Karen Elders, Alison Emel, Demi Ferraris, Sarina Galu, Dana Grunow, Carley Hayes, Michelle Hudson, Sara Iorio, Ali Kinnie, Karen Knapp, Kaitlin Kniffen, Carrie Lopiano, Amy Maccarone, Annie Mahoney, Danielle Martin, Debi McGahren, Carmen Molinas, Meghan Moore, Jane Nedder, Lesley Osborn, Hallet Parisi, Sara Lyn Pascal, Sara Schwarz, Ciara Thurlow, Amy Warnock, Jessica Vandervoort, and Meredith Zengo. Thank you all so much!
