Paintings by Doug Zider, The Sea. The Coast. The Classic Novel., will be on display from July 30 through September 13.

Mr. Zider (pictured left) attended The School of Visual Arts, NYC, where he studied realism painting. He began work at The National Broadcasting Company in 1979 as a designer, and he continues to work there today. Over the time at NBC, he has participated in a wide range of creative teams in entertainment and sports, as a graphic designer for Saturday Night Live from the early 80s to today, and for many sporting events and venues, MLB, NFL, AFL, NBA, NHL, tennis, NASCAR, and the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
He is a 5-time Emmy Award-winning designer, a 7-time Promax (promotion & design) Gold Medallion winner, and a 5-time BDA (Broadcast Designer Association) International silver and bronze award recipient.
He began painting again in the later part of his career, constantly turning to the water for true inspiration, with travels to the Caribbean and endless coastal visits. He recently studied Plein Air and studio composition with acclaimed landscape painter Joseph McGurl at his studio in Cataumet, MA.
