Just an observation --and perhaps suggestion. Possible to put, at least temporarily, a moratorium on the purchuse of Children's e-books ???
The vast majority of the e-book selections are for children's titles. Although I'm hugely supportive of providing children a wide selection of material; however, with 627 children's titles vs. ~300 general fiction and ONLY 33 "History" titles, I think we could skimp on purchasing children's titles for a bit. I'd also venture to guess there is a greater demand for adult titles in town.
Thanks~
Adult eBooks.
We're happy to see increasing interest in our eBook collection -- for both Children's and Adult titles, and thank you for your interest. We have more Children's eBooks because they cost a LOT less to purchase, not because we are neglecting the Adult titles. So the answer is, we'll focus on getting even more Adult titles, and if you have any suggestions for us, we'd be happy to hear from you.
By the way, though there undoubtedly is more interest in Adult eBook titles in town right now, remember that it takes less time to read a Children's book, so they circulate faster. And it might interest you to know that last year, counting all kinds of books (physical, audio and eBook) there were 228,836 Adult books taken out, and 228,381 Children's books. This year so far, for what it's worth, the children have pulled ahead.
Please, if you have some suggestions, let us know, And you can count on us working to increase our collection of Adult eBooks in the near future.
