Usage Guidelines

Save and Take!
THE LIBRARY PURGES ALL PUBLIC DRIVES ON A REGULAR BASIS WITH NO ADVANCE WARNING. SAVE AND TAKE YOUR FILES WITH YOU AT THE END OF YOUR COMPUTER SESSIONS.

  • You can temporarily save your work on the H drive during your sessions.
  • Save and take your data files with you. Forgot a disk? The Library has available the following for minimal cost recovery charges:
    • Floppy disks (50 cents)
    • CDs ($1.00)
    • USB drives (for loan)

Printing Costs and Guidelines

  • Black & white and color printers are available both in the Main Reading Room and the Darien Technology Foundation Center at the Darien Library.
  • There is no charge for the first 20 pages of black & white plain paper copies or 8 color copies per day. Additional pages are 10 cents for black & white plain paper copies and 25 cents for color plain paper copies.
  • Photograph quality paper is available to print for $1 per page
  • Banner printing is available by appointment. The cost is $2 per foot.
