The Darien Library offers downloadable audio books.¹ From your home computer you can download a digital audio book to your PC and move the files to an MP3 player. Use your own MP3 player, or use one of the MP3 Players we lend out here.

Before you begin, be sure to upgrade to Windows Media Player 9 or above.²

Overdrive
Browse through over 100 titles of mystery, fiction, biographies or classics. A one time download of the Overdrive Media Console makes it easy to navigate through sections and manage the books you download. (View a list of supported MP3 players)

Recorded Books via NetLibrary
You've listened to their books on tape or CD, now listen to their digital audio books. Over 1200 titles are available, including the Pimsleur language audio collection. (View a list of supported portable players)

^2. Digital audio books from Overdrive and NetLibrary are not compatible with the Mac computers or the iPod.
