MP3 Players The Darien Library circulates three different types of MP3 players: The Library provides access to Overdrive and NetLibrary audio books, which may be downloaded to a Windows-compatible computer and transferred to either the Rio Carbon or the Creative Zen Micro player. Currently, the Apple iPod is not compatible with either Overdrive or NetLibrary. The Library does have a private Audible.com account, which is compatible with the Apple iPod. The Library's tech staff can download an Audible.com audiobook of your choice and transfer it to the Library's iPod prior to check out. (To prevent possible damage to personal iPods, the Library will not load audio books onto patron-owned players.) Donations fund all materials at the Darien Library. To check out an MP3 player, one must either be a Darien resident, work full time in Darien, or be a Friend of the Library at the $300.00 level. |
