Watch School of Rock

Jack Black plays a musician who has been kicked out of his band, and is now unemployed.  He weasels his way into a job as a music teacher at an elite elementary school.  With no formal training, he recasts the music department to teach the fundamentals of rock n' roll...  and if he manages to turn his students into a rockin' band that can beat his former bandmates in a battle of the bands, then he'll have achieved his goals. 

The movie is rated PG-13.

Join us for another wonderful Teen Galley Party. Galleys are pre-releases of new books.  We’ve collected a ton over the last few months and on Wednesday, October 20th at 6:00 p.m. we are giving them all away.  So, come by the Teen Lounge for free books and OFCOURSE PIZZA.

The first meeting of the AV Club will be on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Teen Lounge.

The Club will meet monthly and every meeting we will make a different media product from start to finish.  This month's project will be to make short movies in iMovie and it is going to be EPIC.

Every other Friday starting this Friday, October 1st at 4PM in the Teen Lounge, come join us after school to play the latest installment of the Halo Franchise, Halo Reach.

"The game takes place in the year 2552, where humanity is locked in a war with the alien Covenant on the human colony of Reach weeks prior to the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. Players control Noble 6, a member of an elite supersoldier squad, during the battle for the world of Reach. As the Covenant begin their assault on the planet, the UNSC begin their heroic yet ultimately futile effort to halt the brutal alien invaders."

Mockingjay Tattoos Today in the Teen Lounge!

We love Wednesdays and especially today!

Since Mockingjay has been out now for three weeks I'm hoping all of you The Hunger Games fans have had a chance to sink your teeth into the newest book in the series, Mockingjay.  However, if your one of the 58 people on hold for the book rest assured more are on the way.

Come to the Teen Lounge today at 3:00 p.m. for a little Mockingjay trivia and win an awesome Mockingjay tattoo like mine! I've also got a ton of bookmarks and snacks to supply you with.

On Wednesday, September 15 at 6 p.m. stop by the Teen Lounge to watch "The Last Song".

It's based on a Nicholas Sparks novel ("Dear John" and "The Notebook" are also his movies) and it stars Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear.  It's the story of  an angry and alienated seventeen year old, Ronnie Miller, who is forced to spend the summer with her estranged father, in the small Georgia beach town where he lives. Along the way, Ronnie finds salvation, friendship, second chances, and first love...

The movie is rated PG-13.

We Love Wednesdays starts today, September 1st and to be sure we kick it off right we will need to do a little redecorating. Come to the Teen Lounge today at 3:00 p.m. to re-decorate the Teen Lounge windows.  Show off your artistic abilities or just plain shout outs to your friends!
