Crimelab Wednesday, August 7 from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.

A crime has been committe and it's up to Darien kids to solve it using fingerprinting and chromatography.  Participate in this science workshop hosted by The Children's Museum of Connecticut.  Grades 3 to 5.

The Long Island Sound Glacier Experiment     Monday, August 5 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Learn from a SoundWaters educator how the Long Island Sound was formed.  Travel through time to see how a glacier changed the form of Long Island Sound.  Grades 4 to 6.

Math Playground     Monday August 12 to Friday, August 16 from 3 to 4 p.m.

Let's explore the playground of math using art, music, movement, and games.  Join National Board-certified teacher, Mrs. Radia, to view mathematics in the world around you.  Learn math strategies and enjoy a Fraction Fiesta.  Don't forget to bring your favorite number!  Ages 7 to 10.

Tween MAKE Week     Monday, August 12 to Friday, August 16 from 2 to 2:45 p.m.

The Teen Room and Children's Library will join forces this August to bring a mini-Maker Camp to Darien Library.  Tweens can register for any of the afternoon programs, which including DIY projects that focus on STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) building ativities.  Register for up to two of the five programs on the registration form.  Registration is a lottery, participants will be notified by Friday, June 14.  Ages 10 to 14.
