Flu season is upon us and the best way to remain healthy and avoid infection is to receive a flu vaccination.  For your convenience, the Darien Health Department will host a “VOTE and VAX” flu shot clinic on Election Day, November 6th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium.  Preservative free vaccine will be offered to anyone over the age of 36 months.  Also, we offer a preservative free high dose vaccine specially formulated for those 65 and older.  No appointments are needed. 

Cost

The flu vaccine costs $30 and is payable by cash, check, Medicare Part B or at no cost if you have a ConnectiCare insurance card.

In addition, both vaccines are also available by appointment in the Health Department office every Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.  Appointments may be scheduled at www.darienhealth.com.
