High School Summer Reading Lists

Yes, I know. Darien High School doesn't let out until June 18th, but the DHS 2007 Summer Reading List is available now. Once again, Darien High has issued a suggested list of titles, including fiction, mystery, and non-fiction. The list is organized into broad categories, such as Chick Lit, Guy Stuff, Mystery, Beach Reads, and Environment. Basically, there's something for everyone. According to DHS, this is not a required reading list. It's meant as a guide only, and students are encouraged to go outside the list to discover other books of interest. The AP/Honors Required Summer Reading List is also available.
To help you find the books you want, we've set up a rolling cart display of the titles on both the general and AP/Honors lists. When you visit the library, you'll find the cart near the Information Desk in the Main Reading Room. If you forget your copy of the list(s) at home, don't worry. We'll have extra copies available. And if the book you're looking for isn't on the cart, just ask the Reference Librarian on duty to check our catalog for you. The book may be on a cart of recently returned books, or if it's checked out, we can place a reserve for you and contact you when it's available.
