Richard Bachman IS Stephen King
The new Richard Bachman book Blaze just sat on our shelves until we put a notice next to the book stating that Richard Bachman is the pen name of Stephen King. We've been surprised how many people don't know that. During the years 1966-1973 King was actually two men. He developed a Bachman biography, and wrote under both names. The early Bachman novels are: Rage (1977), The Long Walk (1979), Road Work, (1981) and The Running Man (1982). The novel Thinner (1984) is even dedicated to Bachman's fictional wife. Blaze is the last of the Richard Bachman novels, recently recovered and published for the first time. Stephen King has written the foreword.
