Global Warming, Greenhouse Gases, Climate Change
Global warming will be THE topic of the coming week given some high profile events by global leaders. The United Nations will stage a one day debate on what can be done about global warming with Al Gore making the case to curb greenhouse gases. Later in the week, President Bush will host a series of meetings at the White House where country leaders will discuss the very same topic – greenhouse gases. Climate week is the headline editorial in today's New York Times.
So next week is a good time to stop by the Library and pick up a few books or videos that will help make sense of what is happening to our planet. Whether it be Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth explaining how we got here or Healthy Living magazine publisher David Steinman’s book Safe Trip to Eden: 10 Steps to Save the Planet from Global Warming Meltdown, with it’s recommendations of Earth-friendly products and list of green entrepreneurs; everyone can become a little more informed about global warming and what can be done to stop the climactic changes going on.
