BookMANIA!

Friday afternoons are never quiet or dull when BookMANIA! occurs. We know you're excited (and we are, too!) for our popular book activity program for ages 7 to 9.

*Friday, April 7 from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.
*Friday, April 21 from 4:15 - 5:45 p.m.
*No need to register! Snacks provided.

The Opera Pinocchio

Connecticut Opera Express presents a performance of Pinocchio at the Darien Library on Saturday, April 8 from 2 to 3 p.m. The performance is for children 5 and up.

Free tickets will be given out 15 minutes before the performance, and space is limited. Previous performances have played to capacity audiences at the Library.

Giggles and Rhymes Storytime

There will be a special 4 week mini-session of Giggles & Rhymes storytime beginning Tuesday, April 18th from 9:30 - 10 a.m.

Storytime is for pre-walkers up to 15 months (with a caregiver), and no registration is required. Participants may attend individual sessions or the entire 4 week storytime. (Session: 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9).

Internet Safety

Complete with mascot Clicky the Netsmartz website was designed to help children practice good Internet safety. Sponsored by Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Netsmartz aims to teach children how to stay safe on the internet. Tips on the website include keeping the family computer in an open area of the house and teaching children to refrain from giving out personal information online. Take a few minutes and surf the site - you may learn information your family needs.
