Our March Nutmeg book is Hatching Magic, by Ann Downer. Join us for a book discussion and activity.

Book Description: Take one dragon’s egg, a candy factory, two battling wizards, a time travel vortex, magic cards, a two-headed snake, and a secret circle club, and you have a recipe for “hatching” a fantastic summer vacation.

The new Nutmeg Book Award nominees have been announced! In our next Nutmeg Book Group, we'll discuss nominee The Ravenmaster's Secret by Elvira Woodruff. There will also be an activity and pizza.

Our Caldecott Kids Finale Celebration

Last Wednesday we celebrated the finale of the Library's Caldecott Kids book group, which read the best picture books of the year and predicted the winners of this year's Caldecott Medal.

The celebration included a cake decorated with the cover of Flotsam, which was announced last week as the 2007 Caldecott winner.

Congratulations to all of our Caldecott Kids!

Harry Potter VII will be released July 21st!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will arrive on July 21st. One week earlier, on July 13th, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released in theatres.

In other words, July is going to be awesome.
