Book Discussion Series: “Saturday” by Ian McEwan, will be the subject of the next session of Darien Library’s book discussion series, “Browsing the Best Sellers” on Sunday, October 2 at 2:30 p.m. Jordon Pecile, Professor Emeritus at the United States Coast Guard Academy, is the discussion leader.
Art Exhibition: Six artists from the Rowayton Arts Center Satellite Gallery Program will display their artwork in the Main Reading Room until October 24.

CHILDREN’S ROOM
Caregiver Workshop - Pre-Literacy Skills for Little Ones: On Monday, October 3, 10:30 a.m. – noon, or Thursday, October 6, 6:30 – 8 p.m., parents and caregivers of newborns, toddlers, and preschoolers are invited to learn skills to use now with children that will help them when they begin reading. Register by calling the Children’s room, 655-1234, x117.
BookMANIA! Children ages 7 to 9, Friday, September 30, 4:15 – 5:15 p.m. Share a story – fantasy, historical fiction, humor, or folk tale, and then enjoy activities crafts, and games reflecting the theme of the book. Snacks provided. Registration is not required.
Sleepytime Storytime: Tuesdays, 6:30 - 7 p.m., for children 3- to 5-years-old. Wear your pajamas. No registration is required.
