THIS WEEK AT THE LIBRARY 12/22/05 - 12/29/05
Art Exhibition: In honor of the opening of the new Darien High School, the Darien Historical Society exhibits “Higher and Higher Education: The Rise of the Darien School System” in the Main Reading Room until January 9, 2006.
Display Case: Rosa Parks…Peter Jennings…Pope John Paul II…Ossie Davis…and more. Whether they were trailblazers, leaders, icons, inquisitive learners, talented artists, or simply part of the fabric of our everyday lives, we’ve said goodbye to many famous and familiar people in 2005. During December, the Library’s front display case recalls their lives through the writing, music, and memories they’ve left behind.
