Fall Book Discussion Continues
Sunday, October 22nd at 2:30 p.m.
"THE WAY WE LIVE NOW"

The discussion book for this Sunday's gathering is Heat: an Amateur's Adventures as Kitchen Slave, Line Cook, Pasta Maker, and Apprentice to a Dante-Quoting Butcher in Tuscany by Bill Buford.
This book is an immensely enjoyable memoir by the longtime fiction editor for The New Yorker. Overcome with a yen to be a chef, Buford apprenticed himself to New York chef Mario Batali and other famous chefs in England and Italy. He writes unsparingly and most amusingly about his experiences.
"Buford may be a culinary apprentice, but he's a master prose stylist." -- Chuck Leddes, The Boston Globe
We welcome back Professor Jordon Pecile who will lead the discussion.
