I call this one...
"A Couple of Brooklyn Gals"

Our new Art On View went up today in the Main Reading Room. It's a photography exhibit, entitled "The Astoria Elevated Line," with fabulous photos from June Steffensen Hagen. Well, we did the meet and greet; got to chatting about NYC and subways, and before long, we discovered we were both a couple of Bay Ridge girls...same High School and Junior High! You just never know what the day will hold.
So, June and her husband Jim were here first thing this morning to hang this terrific exhibit. There's impressionism, there's stark reality, there's humor, and there's detail.
There's also an Artist's Reception and it will be on Saturday, January 19th, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

The exhibit runs through February 15th.
