It's time for our first Friday Film Vote of the 2008 Friday Film Series! The selections below are the choices for the film to be show on March 28th. Click on the image of the movie poster to visit the studio website and watch the trailers for these films. Then register your vote below.

Based on the book by Ian McEwan.

After spending years in California, Amir returns to his homeland in Afghanistan to help his old friend Hassan, whose son is in trouble in this epic tale of fathers and sons. This powerful tale of friendship and betrayal takes us from the final days of Afghanistan's monarchy to the atrocities of the Taliban reign. Based on the book by Khaled Hosseini. In Dari and English with English subtitles.

MICHAEL CLAYTON
George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson, Tilda Swinton; Rated R; 119 minutes; 2007
Michael Clayton is the in-house "fixer" at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. Clayton is burned out and getting divorced, but his mounting debt ties him to the firm. Clayton faces the biggest challenge of his career when a firm attorney sabotages his multi-million dollar class action suit.

Michael Clayton because - I think - it won awards and mostly because I saw Atonemet - great movie but better for the big screen (some just are). Kite Riunner greeaatt book but it would make a good choice for your Foreign Film Series, until later!

Hi Alice...got your message about the votes, and wanted to let you know that when viewing the comments section on a post, the sender's name is under the comment. It's a bit confusing, I know...that's just how the software does it. A lot of people make the same mistake.
