Technology Open House
Have a question about our downloadable audiobooks? Maybe you're having difficulty using one of our research databases from home. Or you've got a great photo you'd like to scan and email to a friend or relative, but you're not sure how to go about it. Don't despair. Just join us on Thursday, January 12th, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for our Technology Open House. Members of the Library's tech staff will be on hand to assist you and will do their best to answer your questions.

Microsoft's New OS Set to Launch in Early '06
Microsoft is busy putting the final touches on its new operating system, Vista, set to launch early in the new year. Will this be the answer to Windows-related security issues? Reviews are mixed. Google's New Blog Search Engine
Although only in the beta or testing stage, Google's new blog search engine is worth looking at. Whether you're exploring the variety of holiday blogs out there in cyberspace or looking for a friend's specific post, Google Blog Search is a great starting point. And, because it's not limited to Google's blogging service, Blogger.com, you're able to search blogs and/or postings from several different services all at once. Pretty neat, huh?
