Ideas for Gifts for Teens

Want to buy a book for that elusive teen, but are pretty sure (based on past experience) that nothing will be quite right? We've heard that before. So we're happy to recommend some gift books for teens that are excellent reads and also have teen appeal.

Middlesex Middle School Visits

We're glad to say that our visit to Middlesex Middle School has been officially scheduled. We'll be visiting grades 6, 7, and 8 on December 6th and December 9th. In case you've never enjoyed one of our school visits, let me fill you in. We spend about 25-40 minutes talking about new books for teens and programs and events at the Darien Library. This year's titles are especially wonderful, and almost every one is brand brand new. (Aren't you dying to know what they are...) Handouts of these recommended titles will be in the Library as well as distributed to the classes beginning December 6th. So, see you at school!

Teen Advisory Board - Don't Forget

Just a last minute reminder - the Teen Advisory Board meets tomorrow; Wednesday, November 16th from 6 - 7:30 p.m. RSVP at 655-1234 x117 so I know how much pizza to order. We'll be going over book reviews, stuff for the website, and relieving fall stress with pizza.
