Good Luck

I noticed yesterday that the Library seemed busier than usual, and not just because of power outages! Realization: it's midterms for many of our patrons. So good luck and study hard. Here are a few tips I found on studying effectively.

1. Study hard subjects first. The rationale being, you'll need to be most awake and energetic for the most challenging material.
2. Make flash cards or study aids. Sometimes when a fact or process is unmemorable, creating a game, song, or trick will help keep it in your brain. It also turns you into an active, rather than passive learner, which will further help.
3. This website has a few good tips, including some on 'group studying' which I notice many teens doing in the Library.
4. Drink lots of water and eat (somewhat) sensibly. Studies show improper eating can actually decrease your intelligence.
5. Don't procrastinate! Stop reading blogs and go study! (Grins).

Happy studying!
