Summer Reading Your Way

We here at the Library think summer reading should be about choice. We've therefore compiled a list of new books for teens you'll want to read this summer.
A few favs are:
Happy Kid by Gail Gauthier. Kyle's self help book has a mind of its own.
Inside Delta Force by Eric Haney. Written by a member of the U.S. army strike force, this tell-all describes the inner workings of training and missions.
My Almost Epic Summer by Adele Griffin. 14-year-old Irene wants a sensational summer but ends up babysitting instead.
Born to Rock by Gordon Korman. Young Republican Leo is shocked to find out his father is the lead singer of a heavy metal band.

Teen Summer Reading

Whether summer leaves you LOL or wishing you were back in long sleeves and sweaters (Wait, we still ARE in long sleeves!), don't miss the Library's teen summer reading program. This year's theme is HUMOR, and what better way to celebrate than with computer acronyms only your IM friends understand?
Sign up online at the teen website beginning June 19. Log 5 books and receive a travel mug. Stop by the Library and fill out cards to enter our gift certificate raffles. One lucky teen will win a digital camera. Finish reading by August 25.
