As Promised... Live with JK Rowling

By popular request, I'm giving a brief recap of my two delightful journeys to NYC to see JK Rowling along with Stephen King and John Irving at Radio City Music Hall... on the hottest two days of the year, coincidentally!
Here are the facts everyone should know about JK's first US appearance in 6 years. WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS TO FOLLOW. If you haven't read the sixth book, STOP READING, COVER YOUR EYES AND EARS, and give good, hard thought to your own inadequacies for stopping with book five!

5 things I learned from an evening with JK Rowling (and those other authors!)
1. Snape is probably a good guy. She just about admitted it.
2. Dumbledore is dead. Definitely dead. In her words, he won't be "doing a Gandalf."
3. Aunt Petunia will have a role to play in the second book. "Oddly flushed" is a significant phrase.
4. JK changed the title of the book in the shower last Wednesday. Sadly, she didn't reveal either title.
5. JK has truly awesome and amazing snake shoes. Mourn if you didn't get a chance to see them in person.

Despite it being 105 degrees, we all had a fab. time going, and I must admit, John Irving is an amazing reader. If you haven't read his books (neither have I), you might like to.

In other news, HPATHBP will be out in theatres November 21, 2008. Let the countdown begin.

Snape rocks my socks so either way you put it, I'm good with that (although I will admit he's a bit more fun evil but hey, can't win them all). I do quite mourn that I could not see these fabled shoes for I am sure that I would have trembled in awe at thier snakey glory. Also I hope that Aunt Petunia gets the welcome back she deserves (she may not rock my socks like Snape but she can surely make much smaller accessories rumble. *grin*.) Thanks for the update Caitlin.

I am not un-fond of Snape myself. However, I don't support him dating Hermione (Actually, I think he had the hots for Lily Potter, which is why every time he looks at Harry he both hates him and wants to keep him alive). Aunt Petunia might shake a bracelet or two, but only my second best ones. I just picture her as this giant Marge Simpson but with orange hair not blue. I could talk about HP forever, so I'll just stop now.
