Today's theme? Gold

Over the last week, I've watched and read things with Gold in the title. Conclusion? A blog post.

Gold #1 was Gold Rush, a video starring Alyssa Milano (of Charmed fame). Sadly, we do not own this item, but I bought it at the Library sale, so that counts! Surprisingly funny and factual, it tells the true story of a young woman who traveled to Alaska to pan for gold. And she brings her dog!

Gold #2 was Golden by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, who is actually a senior at Yale, so that makes her a local girl! We don't own Golden yet but we soon will. Basically, picture Mean Girls put together with a family who all have special magical gifts and you've got the general idea. Lissy's talent happens to be seeing people's auras, and the trouble begins when her Calculus teacher's aura (The bad guy is always the Calculus teacher!) turns out to be 100% evil). I highly recommend it.

Email me if you want to be put on an advance hold list for it.
