Printz Award Winner: American Born Chinese

The graphic novel American Born Chinese, by Gene Luen Yang, is the winner of the 2007 Printz Award.
The Printz Award for excellence in young adult (otherwise known as teen) literature is decided by a committee of librarians who are part of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA).
The four honor books are:
The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation; v. 1: The Pox Party by M. T. Anderson
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Surrender by Sonya Hartnett
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (which was chosen as a winner by the teens in our very own Predicting the Printz book group)
