A library exists to help readers connect with the books they want, and now, with our Espresso Book Machine (EBM), we’re eager to help authors connect their works with others. This is your opportunity to turn your novel, poetry, journal, family history, or even your collection of family recipes, into actual, beautiful, readable objects. The EBM will transform your work into a paperback book complete with a full color cover and a black and white interior, indistinguishable from books produced by traditional publishers.

Whether you book is…

  • a private manuscript
  • a work in progress or ready to print
  • a one-time print or for multiple runs

…We can help.  Here are some of the many reasons why the EBM can provide a dynamic solution to meet a wide range of self-publishing needs.

Quality

The EBM will turn your work into a paperback book complete with a full color cover and a black and white interior, indistinguishable from books produced by traditional publishers.

Control & Flexibility

You control what the book looks like - you can choose any trim size and page length between the min and max sizes (there are no presets).  You also have the final say on all cover and interior formatting (you can even do it all yourself if you’d like).

Nothing is set in stone.  If you ever notice anything you don’t like about your book, you can simply change it, submit revised files, and all future copies will reflect your changes.

There are no minimum print runs, so you can print as many or as few copies as you want, when you want.  You can even print a work in progress, since you can upload revised files and print a new version at any time.

You can choose to offer your book for sale or keep it private (printable by you only), whichever best suits your project.  You retain all the rights to your work, and you set your own retail price if you want to make your book available for sale through our EspressNet distribution channel.

Personal Service

Unlike online self-publishing companies, we offer a real person onsite who cares about your project and will guide you through the self-publishing process.  We understand that every author has different set up needs and goals, and we look forward to meeting with you to discuss the various options available. We stand ready to assist you throughout production and when you're ready you can actually see your book being printed hot off the press!

Onsite Presence

Because we’re onsite, you can come pick up your books as soon as they’re ready. There are no shipping fees addeded to your order, and there is no need to wait days for delivery.

Getting Started

When you’re done writing your book and wish to start printing, you simply provide us with two print-ready PDFs – one for the interior pages and one for the cover.  Sending them via email is best, but if that’s not an option we can accommodate other methods (online file-sharing sites, FTP, thumbdrives or CDs).  Then you’ll meet with our onsite EBM consultant (in person or over the phone) to discuss which set-up option will be best for your project.   Please note, if you would like to deliver your files or discuss your project in person, you must contact our EBM consultant to make an appointment in advance.  We wish to ensure that when you do arrive we’re ready to assist you. From cover design to interior formatting, editing to ISBN registration, we provide a full range of services to help you along the way.
