Auditions for Weekend One Acts

Auditions for "The Rats" by Agatha Christie will take place on Tuesday, September 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 5, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Actors should bring a head-shot and resume and current contact information, including mobile phone number. Participants will be given audition sides to perform for the audition.

Performances are Actors’ Equity Association approved.

For best scheduling, contact Erin Shea at to confirm audition appearance and approximate time of arrival. Auditions will take place in the Library’s Conference Room, located on the Mezzanine level. Flexible evening and weekend rehearsal schedule will begin in mid-September and run through the beginning of October.

Summary of Play:

"The Rats" by Agatha Christie is a one-act play involving David and his lover Sandra. They arrive at a flat for a party and are surprised to find there is no party. Their friend Alec arrives and shows them a Kurdish knife. After handling it, Alec drops it out of the window,  leaves and locks them in the flat. A murder mystery ensues.


1 Male: Age 30-60.

1 Female: Age 30-60.

1 Female: Younger than the other female.

The performances of Weekend One-Acts will take place in the Community Room on Friday, October 12 at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, October 14 at 2 p.m.
