Winning photographs in the Tree Conservancy of Darien’s 2014 ‘Celebration of Trees’ photography contest will be on display at Darien Library on the second floor by the fireplace beginning May 6th, 2014 until May 31st.

In its second year, the photo contest promotes the value of Darien’s trees by encouraging participants to capture the beauty of the majestic, historic, attractive and unusual trees around town.

The Tree Conservancy of Darien is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the tree and forest resources for the benefit of the community, its health and its quality of life. Its goals are to educate the community about the value of trees and their care, to identify and revitalize significant (heritage) trees in town, to maintain a stewardship program for the care and maintenance of existing trees, and to build partnerships to achieve conservancy goals.
