February is Black History Month
and so with an eye turned to that, the movie pick this week is "Murder on a Sunday Morning" which was the Academy Award winner of the 2001 for Best Documentary.
In a terrifying case of mistaken identity, Brenton Butler, a 15 year old African American, is charged with the murder of a woman in his neighborhood. Thought guilty, his only hope is Attorney Patrick McGuiness who uncovers the dubious interrogation and investigative practices of the Jacksonville PD.
This film provides an unflinching look the U.S. justice system.
Happy Weekend!
