Why you should be using your library card!

1) We Desketeers deal with over a thousand people a day, and it is hard for us to remember that you are the John J. Smith on Brooke Drive not the John P. Smith, on Elm Street.

2) Don't want "mystery items" appearing on your account? Use your card!

3) If your card is easily accessible to you, you have the ability to go online and renew your items! No more overdues! How cool is that?

4) Computer busted at home? With your library card bar code number you can come in and use one of our dandy machines!

5) Hate it when people misspell your name? Hate repeating the spelling? Use your card! Presto! No more repetition!

6) Long lines. Nobody likes a queuing up with a hundred of their neighbors to check out items. With your card we can speed things along! And we can spend more time with you chatting up books, or movies we have enjoyed or not, helping you with your holds, or just simply finding out how you are doing today.

See? It is a good idea for both sides of the Desk!

Wow! What a great idea. It never even occurred to me how much easier my life would be just by using my library card. You have me convinced. Thanks! :)
