Shakespeare would have been 442 years old on Sunday!

In honor of The Bard's Big Day, our video pick of the week is Kiss Me Kate, starring Katherine Grayson and Howard Keel.

In this re-telling of "The Taming of the Shrew" Fred and Lilly, are a divorced couple reunited by Cole Porter to star in his muscial version of the play. When a fight between the two threatens the production on opening night, sparks fly.

Not only does this movie have the music of Cole Porter, it has Bob Fosse choreography, and Anne Miller singing, "Too Darn Hot". Honestly, what more could one want?

Happy weekend!

And I quote----
Lilli Vanessi: Do you really think *I* could play the shrew?
Fred Graham: You'd make a perfect shrew!

Here's a quick little note. Seeing as I'm a huge fan of this production I must mention that Mr. Fosse (may his talented/tainted soul rest in peace) was also featured as Hortensio (one of the dancers) in the movie. So if you watch it, take a peek for his those famous turned in toes and bowl-legged moves.
