Hmmm. Nature gone wild!
Timothy Treadwell: I'm in love with my animal friends. I'm in love with my animal friends! In love with my animal friends. I'm very, very troubled. It's very emotional. It's probably not cool even looking like this. I'm so in love with them, and they're so f-ed over, which so sucks.
Sam Egli: That bear, I think, that day, decided that he had either had enough of Tim Treadwell or that something clicked in that bear's head that he thought 'Hey, you know, he might be good to eat.'
Oh yes. The time has come to discuss a favorite film here at the Biblio. Grizzly Man is our Cirque de Cinema pick of the week.
In 2003 Timothy Treadwell went into the wilds of Alaska with his girlfriend. As you can see from the above quotes, things ended rather badly.
We love this movie. Love it. Discuss it endlessly. Quote from it. We have watched it multiple times. Some of us even own it. And here is a true confession. We laugh ourselves sick over it.
Before you think badly of us, understand that we feel this film, while a documentary, is more along the lines of a mockumentary such as "Best In Show".
While we are on the subject of "animals behaving badly" we are thrilled here that our other current obsession is premiering tomorrow. That's right. "Snakes on a Plane" will be in theaters and we are celebrating. If you are in the neighborhood tomorrow, come in and check out how we will be saluting this future cinematic classic.
Happy Weekend!

I will admit that I have a particular love for the scene where his "friends" spread some of his "ashes" in a field. Amazing. I think I uncontrollably hiccuped with laughter upon seeing it. It is moments like these one such as myself must reflect. I am a bad bad person. *sigh*
