Oh dear.

Tom Cassidy: What's your name again?
Christine 'Chrissie' Watkins: Chrissie.
Tom Cassidy: Where are we going?
Christine 'Chrissie' Watkins: Swimming

Chrissie, if there was ever wrong answer it is that last one.

Our Cirque De Cinema pick of the week is none other than that summer classic from 1975 "Jaws". Based on the best selling novel by Peter Benchley, it was directed by Steven Spielberg and starred Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, Robert Shaw, and of course, Bruce the Mechanical Shark.

It is high summer in the resort town of Amity, but all is far from well. A series of shark attacks is ruining business and three very different individuals team up to hunt down the cause. The newly hired police chief (Scheider), the oceanographer (Dreyfuss), and the gruff old salt (Shaw) all have very diverse reasons to want the shark dead. Will these differences help or hinder their mission?

This film was nominated for Best Picture, and remains one of the highest grossing films ever.

Happy Weekend!

My favorite part is "I'm tired and I want to go home..."

Or what about: "You're gonna need a bigger boat"?
