You missed a wonderful program!
Last Wednesday, the Darien Library was so fortunate to have Wendy Kann, the author of Casting With a Fragile Thread, share her thoughts and experiences with a group of fans. Her eloquent commentary on the current political and economic situation that exists in Zimbabwe, as well as the resultant impact on her family’s living situation was eye-opening, to say the least. How long can anyone survive in an economy with an inflation rate that increases by 1000% in a week’s time?!

If you need a recommendation (or even a ‘don’t read this book, whatever you do!’), take a look at all the reviews that our Adult Summer Reading Program participants have provided on their raffle tickets. They are displayed on the bulletin board to the right of the Front Desk for your perusal.
