Make a mobile to hang in your room! We’ll be learning about insects around the world and then making a beautiful mobile.

A Matter Matter
Stepping Stones Museum presents “A Matter Matter.” Things keep disappearing in the lab! Work as a team to solve the mystery while studying liquids, solids, and gases through hands-on experiments.

Preschool Green Thumbs
We will learn about gardening, plant seeds to take home to watch them grow, and explore different vegetables and flowers.

Want to learn about the MakerBot and 3D Printing? Join us in the TEA Room as we discuss 3D printing technology and design our own 3D printed items.

It's that time of year again!

The Children's Librarians are gearing up to visit YOUR schools during the month of May and early June. We will be visiting each and every student that attends elementary and middle school in Darien. During our visits, we will share exclusive details about our Summer Reading program and reveal top-secret booklists that we have been working on for months! The dates of each of our visits are below.

The students of several New York City elementary schools learn ballroom dancing and compete in a city wide dance competition.

Children of all ages can sign up in the Children’s Library or on the website at darienlibrary.org/kids. Registration begins Monday, June 6, 2016.

Registration Raffle: If you register for Summer Reading between June 6 and June 16, you will be entered into this special raffle for a BB-8™ robot. We’ll draw a winner on Friday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m.
