On Saturday, November 22nd from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Darien Library will host A Fond Farewell, a gathering to say goodbye to the Library’s current building.

 

The party will include a silent auction of some well-loved, recognizable items, giving attendees the opportunity to own a piece of the Old Darien Library. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Ticket price is $75.00 per person. RSVP by returning the card, attached below, or call 655-1234.

 

On November 26th, we will close the doors to this building for the last time. As excited as we all are about moving to our gorgeous new building down the Post Road, we have much to celebrate about this building.  When the New Darien Library opens, you can expect more space, more services, more programs, and more personal atten tion...we can expect that you'll be very happy! With a rich history, an international reputation, national and state accolades, and an award-winning staff, Darien Library enthusiastically embarks on a new and exciting chapter.
