The Avion My Uncle Flew

The Avion My Uncle Flew by Cyrus Fisher is an exciting historical fiction novel about a boy named Johnny Littlehorn. Johnny is just a regular boy from Wyoming who doesn't really want anything but a new bike. So when he found out he has to spend the summer in a dull French town, he fought against it with all he had. That was before he found a gun hidden in a loaf of bread and discovers that a Nazi is on the loose! His adventure might even include a stolen fortune. Maybe the town isn't so boring after all... This is a great book for anyone interested in WWII and the Nazis, along with historical fiction in general. I think that it's fit for both girls and boys 11 and up. I especially liked the way the author incorporated the historical element in with the adventure. It kept me reading!

I reviewed the book Bad Girls by Alex McAulay. I also reviewed The Big Bento Box of unuseless Japanese Inventions by Kenji Kawakami.

The It Girl Series by Cecily Von Ziegesar

These books are AMAZING!! But they are hard to understand if you don't start with the 1st one. The characters are so funny. But they are very unrealistic.

The oldest rookie

I read The oldest rookie: big-league dreams from a small-town guy.

Envy by Anna Godbersen

I love the Luxe series and so I loved this book. It's just GOOD. It's kind of like Gossip Girl books but set in 1900. It highlights what every character is doing, thier interactions, and secrets. You might love some charaacters and hate others- you really feel like you know everyone in the book. Yeah, so read it- it's good.

Sarah's Key

Dramarama

This is a great summer time book. It was a great realistic fiction book. The characters were sort of weird though.

Reserved for the Cat: An Elemental Masters Novel

Slow at first, the novels in this series definitely become a great twist on fictional creatures and plots.

Little Women

I read Little Women the classic and I thought it was amazing. I loved the bond of the four sisters through the best and the worse times. This book is a love story, adventure, tear jerking, emotional story that deserves to be read from generation to generation. Published in 1868, this book will never grow old.
