Lauren Conrad, heroine of The Hills, has signed a deal with Harper Collins to write three young adult books, which will start coming out in summer 2009.

Some people are saying that this is a stupid idea, but I actually think they might be good -- and no one has written a book yet about starring in a reality TV show.

I wonder if Spencer and Heidi are going to try to get their own book deal???
