Lori has an M.S. in Elementary Education and has taught elementary school in both Stamford and Darien.  Her four children are glad that she has found a new venue for her singing and dancing.

Jeanne is not only a Reader Advisor and mother, but also a Masters in Library Science candidate at Pratt Institute. She loves a good read and is not afraid to dish about the bad ones.

Louise is the library's fearless leader. When she's not reading about libraries, she reads travel books and cookbooks, trying what she reads about whenever she can.

When Tyler’s not running or listening to the Beatles, he’s writing and producing a documentary for the search for Bigfoot called “Squatch Watch.”

Asha is a new college grad and full-time desketeer. She is a keen observer of all that is weird and slightly off kilter in literature, non-fiction and movies! Ask her what she has read lately that keeps her back to the wall.

Gretchen is a storyteller and singer who loves to read Kid Lit, especially adventure and realistic fiction. If parents have any questions about technology for their digital native kids, Gretchen is the one to ask!

Rose is mom to two grown daughters, Melissa and Cindy. She is a marathon runner and plays tennis and paddle tennis. She is also a talented seamstress and creates specialty gifts to sell at holiday and craft fairs. Rose also loves to cook and read historical fiction.

Eileen loves to connect kids with that one perfect book... the book that will make them a reader. She is a school librarian when she's not in the Children's Library and when she reads books for grown-ups, she prefers historical fiction.

Krista is a current library school student at Long Island University. Her reading tastes are eclectic, and particularly inspired by world literature, especially the works of Patrick Chamoiseau, Julio Cortazar and Bharati Mukherjee. In her spare time she enjoys overly complicated recipes, listening to online broadcasts of BBC Radio 4 and lounging.

Louie is an undergraduate at UCONN Stamford. Along with American and British literature, he enjoys music, movies, history, and dreams of traveling around the world.

Alison keeps our books, crunches our numbers and makes sure we pay our bills. She likes to read psychological thrillers, loves dogs and is a crack skeet shooter.

Jared enjoys writing lyrics, producing music, and singing. Some of his favorite movies are Defiance, Pan's Labyrinth, and Inception. His favorite book is Flowers for Algernon.

Elisabeth is an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader who was convinced her invitation to Hogwarts got lost in the mail.

When not reading young adult realistic fiction, Erica enjoys riding her longboard skateboard and shoe shopping. You can find her in the Teen Lounge running programs and recommending books.

Marilyn loves reading the Sunday NY Times as well as historical fiction and memoirs. She also enjoys volunteer work, tennis, golf and bridge.

Jo is a retired middle school teacher who is trading YA literature for historical fiction and novels. She enjoys biking, baking, long walks, and discovering new places.

Alan reads a lot of naval history and fiction and is always trying to get us to go play softball. Hasn't happened yet, probably never will.

Beth is an MLS student at Southern Connecticut State University. In her spare time she hoards books—particularly young adult literature, graphic novels, cookbooks, and science fiction/fantasy novels—and quotes movies and television shows frequently. So if you hear her laughing to herself, don't be scared.

Alex is a lover of technology and a video game enthusiast. He can often be found reading about the latest tech trends and gadgets.

Sally is a huge fan of audio books. The queen of multitasking, she can usually be found knitting, gardening or cooking, all while listening to books. Her reading tastes are eclectic, but she is especially fond of all things Austen.

Before focusing in on his Network Security and Ethical Hacking interests, Tyler studied film production, web development and digital design at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Sandy makes sure that our books and DVDs get back on the shelf when they come back to the library. She likes to reads romance novels and other beach reads.

With many years of experience working with children in our community and currently attending NCC for an early childhood education degree Jennifer believes that be an educator is not a job, It is a blessing.

Amy is currently an MLS student at Pratt Institute. She plays a lot of Scrabble, frequently knits, and enjoys reading memoirs, nonfiction, cookbooks and travel books.

Caroline is originally from New Canaan (yes, a Rams fan), and she most enjoys reading memoirs, novels and looking through the cookbooks for new recipes!

Olivia, or Liv, enjoys traveling, dancing, music, shopping, and learning new things. Her favorite book is the classic Gone with the Wind.

Stacy has a BS in Business & Technology. Aside from being a legal assistant and Sunday School teacher, she’s always ready to lend a hand. Her welcoming smile and tech savvy nature will happily guide you in the right direction.

Marian is a library school student at Pratt Institute in New York City. She is a big fan of clever picture books and dark kids fiction, and plans on being the first ninja librarian.

Judy gets our books ordered, uploaded, and ready to go home with you. She likes histories, biographies and good novels. Judy is also an animal lover who likes to garden.

Claire is a film lover who recently finished her Master’s Degree in Library Science at Pratt in Manhattan. She reads widely, conducts programs for children from infants to tweens and can sometimes be caught running through the stacks.

Cecilia loves indie and foreign films because they make her feel like she's in another country, another time. In fact, she loves to visit other countries and experience their cultures. Since her children were 10 years old, they have traveled to two countries each year to encourage that international perspective.

Blanche is our business and travel expert and a huge fan of UNC basketball and SEC football.

Kiera is a lover of children's books, especially those that are silly and/or feature giant chickens from New Jersey. She runs the program Stories on the Spectrum, a storytime for children on the autistic spectrum. Kiera enjoys helping reluctant readers, advanced readers, pre-readers, and everyone in-between.

You may know Veronica from her Organized Playgroups in town. She has a M.S. in Early Childhood Education and believes every child is gifted and ready to learn!

Stephanie keeps the sorting room humming. She can also be seen at the Friday night films where she has been known to appear dressed as a beekeeper as well as in vintage 1970’s attire.

Jessica is finishing her last semester as an MLS student at Pratt Institute. She is a foodie at heart who loves to travel, try new restaurants, and test out new recipes. When she's not baking, you can usually find Jessica catching up on reality T.V. or reading Terry Pratchett.

Abby reads a wide range of books, but to the dismay and confusion of some, is especially intrigued by Scandinavian mysteries. Note: Abby would like to point out that as a non-Scandinavian, it is actually quite difficult to keep track of the author names in the genre.

Eric is an MLS student at Simmons College. In his free time he can be found reading mystery novels, riding his bike, and enjoying the outdoors.

Erin is our go-to person for adult programming at the library. She loves showing patrons how to check out eBooks and use technology. She reads poetry, nonfiction, adventure stories, and everything in between.

Pat is not only a insatiable reader and huge Anglophile, she is a gourmet cook and loves doing needlework. Ask Pat what’s cooking! She’ll be happy to tell you!

Priscilla is a tennis maven and part time desketeer. Ask her what she is loving from the book world.

Susan is an avid gardener, golfer and watcher of baseball. She loves the works of Jane Austen and Catherine Marshall along with pieces set during the Victorian era. Sue never passes up a good book dealing with the Paranormal in the world around us. Sue is currently a BGS Student at University of Connecticut - Stamford majoring in Human Services and is also a notary.

Sally, a psychology major in college, is excited to be working with children! In her free time she loves to read, cook and travel.

Caitlin is an undergraduate at Fairfield University, majoring in English and pioneering in Fairfield’s new 5-year Integrated B.A./M.A. Degree Teacher Certification in Elementary Education. She loves reading to children and reading in general, especially Victorian English literature and works of nonfiction.
