Bob Spitz, world-class journalist and author of the bestselling book The Beatles: The Biography, adds world-class chef to his resume. following years of hard work, research, and heartbreak, spitz took a detour and followed his heart and a dream to Europe and its cooking schools. The resulting memoir, The Saucier's Apprentice, is an interesting and fun read, complete with cultural tales, kitchen stories, raging personalities, travel advice, and recipes.
