I heard much about this series and had it be suggested to me by a good friend of mine. The creator is the same one of one of my favorite shows, Bunheads, but even that couldn't prepared me for the awesomeness that is this series. If you love Bunheads, or just humor, witty dialogue, and lots of charm and heart, Gilmore Girls is the series for you.
The third and final installment in The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan lived up to my expectations. He kept up the humor from the previous books and wove Egyptian mythology fluidly along with incredible action scenes. His writing and dialogue between the main characters, Sadie and Carter, is the kind of banter and occasional signs of love for one another that one would think actual siblings would have. There are surprises at every turn and even though the conclusion is different from what you originally might think it would be, Rick Riordan concludes the stories in a perfect way. The secondary characters are unique and work for the story. His character descriptions and situations have you actually caring for what happens to Sadie, Carter, and their friends. A wonderful and enjoyable read, Rick Riordan reminds us why we love his stories.
Shug is one of the most relatable stories I have ever read! It is touching and shows the terrors of growing up in a fresh, delicate, and poigant way. Shug is as sweet as sugar.
This book is pretty good with different points of view but falls a smidge flat compared to the first book, "Hearts at Stake".
Smile is a relatable story because every one has had troubles with their friends or lost their friends at one point or another like Raina. Also how Raina feels towards her braces and the confusion of growing up are very relatable. This is the perfect summer book.
