The Choice

Full of secrets, this book is one mystery after another! Maud Flynn is an 11 year-old orphan at Barbary Asylum adopted by three evil women who have a secret family business. They pretend to be mediums to earn money so they can live in luxury. Maud plays the critical role of the dead person, but feels torn because she doesn't want to go back to the asylum, but she wants to do the right thing. Read this book to find out the choice she makes! I recommend this book to people who love mysteries. I give it 5 stars and recommend this book to ages 9 and up.

I loved the Bad Beginning because it is a mystery. After Violet, Clause and Sunny's parents die the children are sent to live with a relative named Count Olaf. He doesn't want the children, he wants the huge fortune their parents left for them. Will he get the fortune? This is the first book in the series. It is important to read this book first before reading the other twelve. I think this book could be read by ages 8 and up. I give this book 5 stars.
