Just another DM with the financial breakdown as the background. It all happens in Iceland so that makes it a little bit exotic.
It takes time to get into the story. In the end it is an average Scandinavian detective mystery.
There is nothing new or shocking in this book about Germany during WWII yet this is a well written story which puts forth a question - what will you do?
It is both GOOD - that you want to know how it ends no matter how you feel in between while reading AND BAD - very mediocre that the main charecters are too twisted to really appreciate the "twistedness".
It is a wackiest family drama with all your typical characters of a dysfunctional family but the story does not flow easily.
