Started with lot of expectations and it was a total bore. I felt that there was a lack of depth for a novel like this. It is an inspiration from the great Indian epic Mahabharatha. She did not do any justice to both the epic and her novel.
A detective thriller of it's own kind in it's own pace with a very memorable Kurt Wallander as the detective. Mankell may take time to lure us into the thick of the plot but it's worth the wait.
It's the next chapter in life of the two women from the novel Sister of my heart by the same author. It is not as good as it's prequel both in the plot and the writing.
Complicated and a beautiful story about two women who are sisters not by birth. We move along with the two women in their journey from childhood to womanhood through all their sorrow and happiness every step of the way.
A beautiful story about love, redemption and faith told through a bunch of very interesting characters from world war I to 9 year old girl.
