Another blockbuster starring the angel, Gabriel Allon. The sad part is that he is aging and seems to retire at the end of each new volumne. Here is a hope that he finds eternal youth and continues to be the lone wolf and finds success for the Office. A good read and the next one is eagerly awaited.
This is a quick read but based on an actual New York happening. There is lots of New York City history recounted as well as answers to the Final Jeopardy question. The areas and landmarks are real and makes anyone from this general area aware that the setting is genuine. The plot didn't reveal itself until the last 50 or so pages so there was the incentive to keep reading.
One of Parker's final books and not the best. I don't concieve of people talking that way in the real west. The plot is more Mel Brooks than Robert Parker. Zane Grey and Louis L'Amour (sic) have nothing to worry about in the way of competition from this book.
